Community Impact
Community can be defined by group, by geographical region, or even by issue. We mean community in the broadest sense of the word. People can "come together" over many issues and for many reasons. United Way of Quinte hopes the request to join other community tables will continue as we work at being community builders.
Currently, United Way of Quinte participates at a number of community tables as a trusted partner, some of these include; Quinte Association of Volunteer Administrators (QAVA), our local Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Association of Gift Planners Circle, the Early Years Steering Committee, and the Good Back Pack Program.
United Way of Quinte also works closely with the Belleville Rotary Club, Leave a Legacy, Prince Edward Interservices Group, Allied Professionals, Regional Health Round Table, Katimavik, North Hastings Interagency Association, the Mayor's Taskforce on Hunger, and the Physician Recruitment for the Belleville Medical Centre.
Working with Volunteer and Information Quinte and the Hastings and Prince Edward School Board, United Way of Quinte utilizes high school age volunteers to create and maintain our website, assist with special events and lend a hand in our offices. We also work closely with the Loyalist College Social Services program by providing co-op opportunities in our office and engaging the students in our Allocation Process.
