Maurice Rollins Challenge Fund
Maurice Rollins Leadership Challenge Fund
Here's How It Works for New Leadership Donors:
Each first-time donation of $1,000 or more to United Way of Quinte will be matched dollar-for-dollar. If you were not a leadership donor last year and you raise your gift to $1,000 this year, you become a new Leader. The Leadership Challenge Fund then matches your $1,000 donation, and United Way of Quinte receives a total of $2,000. By becoming a new Leadership donor, you double the impact of your gift.
Here's How It Works for Existing Leadership Donors:
If you are already a Leader and, this year, you add at least 10% to your gift. The Leadership Challenge Fund will double your increase. For example, last year's donation of $1,200 increased by $120 = $1,320. The Leadership Challenge Fund will match $120 therefore United Way will recieve a total of $1,440.
The Maurice Rollins Leadership Challege Fund matches gifts to United Way of Quinte. The matching dollars will support United Way's general Community Fund. Designations to specific charities through United Way, do not qualify for the matching fund. A maximum match of $2,000 donor has been established to enable more people to participate in the Challenge Fund.
Working Together To Improve Lives
During the 2007 Campaign $1.6 million dollars was raised to support the 80 programs in 50 health & social services agencies in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. United Way of Quinte's Allocation team, made up of 40 community volunteers reviews funding applications submitted by agencies. This process is based upon a thorough review of audited financial statements, annual reports, budgets and a defined need in the community. Their recommendations are given to the Board of Directors for their approval.
